Tastemaker: (n) one who sets the standards of what is currently popular or fashionable
Drumroll, please…I am so excited to launch our new Tastemakers on the Hunt program at Hunt & Bloom!
I've always been fascinated with seeing what different people with different tastes would select from our wares to style their homes- and their lives! Now that it's been two years since I launched Hunt & Bloom, we have grown a small limited but classic assortment of vintage and antique pieces into a robust and considered offering of both vintage and antique pieces, AND new styles across home decor and accessories, fragrances and gifts and seasonal decorations. I still select each and every piece that we offer, whether combing the flea markets of Paris or discovering a collection from a heritage brand right here at home.
As the assortment has grown, I have often wondered how people are using the pieces they purchase in their homes and their lives. Maybe they have seen something they love but just aren't sure how to make it work in their home. Then an idea popped into my head: We should search for "tastemakers,” AKA, people we consider to have great style, and ask them to comb our offering and pull out pieces they would use in their homes and let us know why. I am so excited to launch this program because it's been such an exciting process.
I am also thrilled that Paulette Pearson agreed to be our first Tastemaker on the Hunt. By now you know we are huge fans of Paulette's, and you all have shown such great love for our capsule collections of tea towels and totes we have collaborated on. She is the epitome of a renaissance woman - attorney, journalist, artist, and an all-around genuine soul with exquisite taste. Paulette has graciously spent time perusing through all of our pieces across categories and has crafted a great selection of styles that spoke to her. Not only that, she also has let us know why!
I have loved going through her selections and reading why she chose them, and I can't wait for all of you to look through them as well.
